THANE: Bail rejected in multi-crore fake ULC scam | Mumbai News

THANE: The Thane sessions court here has rejected the bail plea of Retired Assistant Town Planner, Thane, who was arrested in the multi-crore fake ULC scam recently.
R.V. Tamhanekar, the Additional Sessions Judge, rejected the bail plea of accused Satyavan Dhanegave, 54 .
Through his lawyer, the accused moved the bail plea. In his submission before the court, Dhanegave’s legal stated that there is no cogent, convincing and clinching evidence to connect him with the alleged offence.
According to accused, he is innocent and has been falsely implicated. During previous investigation, police have interrogated him, his statement has been recorded as witness on December 27, .2016 and no complicity were found to be involved with the alleged crime. The applicant has given details about his service tenure in between 1999 to 2004 claiming that he was not serving with ULC dept. during said period and hence is not concerned with the disputed…
