Think of it as the little green market that took its vitamins. What began as a small market with a few vendors beneath Swank Farm’s pole barn in Loxahatchee Groves has grown into an energetic destination market.
Now 30 vendors strong, the Swank Farmers Market opens for a new season Saturday morning. It will operate weekly until June 2022.
“We’ve tried to keep it as a true farmer’s market,” says Jodi Swank, who owns the Swank Specialty Produce farm with her husband, farmer Darrin Swank. “There are so many little farms. We should support them all, if we can. It’s a very small community.”
The market’s kickoff signals the start of the farm’s harvest season and the months during which Swank Farm offers a bounty of high-end chef dinners and other foodie events as well as its diverse crops.
