School of Technology to offer EMT training | News


The Lincoln County School of Technology offers a wide range of classes geared towards teaching Lincoln County Schools students a new trade or to prepare them for a future career. The upcoming school year brings a new emergency medical technician program that’s already so successful all seats in the class were taken soon after it opened for registration. 

Taught by former West Lincoln High School health science teacher Christyn Boston, the inaugural course will run two semesters. Once students complete the two semesters with a grade of 80 or above and pass the two certification exams with at least an 80, they’ll be certified as emergency medical technicians.
