PORTAGE PARK — The outdoor Portage Park Farmers Market returns to the neighborhood Sunday.
The first market of the season will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave., and will have nearly 20 vendors, including goods from local shops like Fannie’s, Perkolator and Col·lec·tiv.
“We are happy to be back in the park and doing pretty much a normal market,” said Jennifer Dianovsky, president of neighborhood group Friends of Portage Park, which runs the market. “We are looking forward to seeing our neighbors and getting back to some semblance of normalcy.”
Dianovsky said last year, the market merged with nearby markets and operated as a pickup-only event due to the pandemic.
This year, the market will have an entrance and exit with a one-way flow through vendors. The entrance will be at the corner of Irving Park Road and Long Avenue. Masks will be required for all shoppers and vendors.
