FAIRPORT, N.Y. — One house was split by the severe weather we witnessed this week.
A two-story colonial in Fairport was hit by some large tree limbs during Monday’s storm. Luckily, the owner of the house, a 90-year-old woman, was next door and avoided injury.
In an effort to save the house, a locally-owned national firm, Rock Environmental, is using a technology, called Livius Wrap. This shrink-wrap material both waterproofs the house and binds the exterior so that repairs can be made safely.
Rock Environmental has been helping people through emergencies for years.
“It’s exciting, in the sense that, you’re able to try to alleviate some stresses from the homeowner, the property owner, whether it’s residential, commercial, to help them move through the process as seamless as possible,” Andrew Giveault, founder of Livius Wrap, partner with Rock Environmental, said.
