Moment ‘get rich quick’ Instagram trader, 20, who ‘scammed people out of £3.8m’ is confronted — Scam Guards

An Instagram trader who allegedly scammed people out of nearly £4million in an elaborate online fraud is confronted while walking his dog outside his parents’ home in a new documentary.

Gurvin Singh Dyal, 20, a medical student from Plymouth, is believed to have convinced as many as 1,250 people to join his ‘copy trading’ scheme after attracting them with social media pictures of his jet-setting lifestyle.

His Instagram feed is littered with images of flash cars, luxurious hotel stays and even a pet goat – and in autumn last year, a video of him handing out cash to members of the public on Plymouth High Street went viral and made it into the press.

Gurvin, who previously used the Instagram names @GS_3 and @gs3trades before deleting the accounts, claimed at the time that he’d hit the big time in the world of online trading and was keen to give something back.
