Miami Woman Accused Of Using Massachusetts Identity To Scam Feds

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Federal prosecutors have arrested a Florida social media influencer for allegedly scamming the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) out of more than $100,000.

Danielle Miller, of Miami, stands accused of accessing the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) database using a Mass. resident’s personal information. Miller was arrested yesterday.

Prosecutors said Miller then opened up a bank account in the resident’s name, applied for an Economic Injury Disaster loan through the SBA, and received more than $100,000.

Miller allegedly took the money and flew to California with a fake license that had the MA resident’s name on it. Prosecutors said she began to spend the loan on luxury hotels.

Miller has a large Instagram following, which is how authorities were able to track her alleged spending.

Prosecutors say they have linked the IP address that Miller used to loan applications under other names, worth up to $900,000.
