Man arrested after stealing vehicle, crashing into pet grooming business – Greeley Tribune


A 22-year-old man is facing criminal charges after police say he stole a vehicle, eluded officers and fled the scene after striking property Tuesday evening.

James Pike reported his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu stolen from 19th Avenue and 12th Street on Tuesday after leaving his keys in the vehicle.

Around 5:30 p.m. that evening, officers responded to a visual of the vehicle with updates on the location by Pike’s roommate. Police saw the stolen vehicle on the other side of the road and began to attempt contact with the driver.

Brendan Parker, 22, the driver of the stolen vehicle, began eluding officers, according to police. Parker crashed into The Dog Pawlour, a pet grooming business located at 3616 10th St.

Parker fled by foot after the crash, but was arrested by officers and taken to a local hospital to be medically cleared for the Weld County Jail. No injuries were reported.
