At the request of Loveland Mayor Jacki Marsh, “political affiliation” is being added to the city’s notice of non-discrimination, included in the text of every board, commission and council agenda.
Previously, the notice began, “It is the policy of the city of Loveland to provide equal services, programs and activities without regard to race, color, national origin, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or age and without regard to the exercise of rights guaranteed by state or federal law.”
The rewritten notice will also be added to the city’s Handbook for Boards and Commissions, a primer on the advisory groups available through the city’s website.
