The changes would be notable departures of how those properties — both now business hubs home to thousands of jobs combined — were initially developed.

The proposals come as a Cleveland-based developer is designing plans for a large-scale residential development — about 300 units — on 28 acres in MVRP near County Line Road and Research Boulevard.

How that size of development could affect traffic safety issues, noise and the environment near that intersection was a concern for Brent Devitt, executive director at Bergamo, and chairman of Cycle Kettering.

“I hope a lot of serious thought goes into addressing these concerns,” Devitt told the council.
