The fourth edition of the annual Kampala Geopolitics Conference is kicking off next week, officials confirmed Tuesday.
The conference this year will be held at Makerere University in Kampala from Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th November, and will be running under the theme: Crisis and Opportunity: Mapping the Geopolitical Importance of Africa.
Ms. Anna Reismann, the Country Representative of Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Uganda and S. Sudan told the press at Makerere that the conference for this year was pushed to November to allow increased participation.
“The conference usually happens in October, but we pushed it to November to allow physical presence of students,” she said.
“I am very happy and I hope that when we start our conference, we will see many young people in the audience joining in the conversation.”
