— Erin O’Toole backtracked on a platform promise to end the Liberals’ ban on assault-style weapons and clarified his position over the weekend after it became pretty clear the Liberals found their wedge of choice. At a campaign stop on Sunday, he said, “we are going to maintain the ban on assault weapons” while conducting a public review of Canada’s firearm classification system.
