San Francisco real estate firm Hamilton Zanze & Co. will serve as the stalking horse bidder in Professional Financial Investors Inc.’s bankruptcy auction, with a $434 million opening bid for 60 of the company’s properties.
Judge Hannah L. Blumenstiel of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California approved Hamilton Zanze’s stalking horse designation at a hearing Friday. She also tentatively approved the bidding procedures for the Sept. 13 auction, which will involve a bulk sale of all the properties.
