Food Bank’ Mobile Markets find business booming as food prices rise


Mike Hayes, Shirer Insurance, Crown Point Rotary, and Robert Bubala (l to r) sort through boxes of meats. Providing in partnership with Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, Franciscan Health in Crown Point had mobile market truck offering participants a selection of free grains, fruits, vegetables and protein in their parking lot. Food was distributed on a first come, first served basis until supplies were gone. Recipients had to show valid proof of Indiana residency. The give away took place on Tuesday March 10, 2022.
