A Frisco real estate broker was sentenced Thursday to 60 days in jail for storming the U.S. Capitol, marking one of the harshest penalties given to a participant in the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Jenna Ryan had turned herself in to the FBI about a week after the insurrection and pleaded guilty in August to a misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
She gained notoriety after the riot for bragging online about her participation through photos and videos documenting her involvement. She said in media interviews that she didn’t regret her actions, and posted a tweet in March saying, “Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I’m not going to jail. … I did nothing wrong.”
