After more than a year of being closed down, the Koreshan State Park Sunday Farmer’s Market is back. It features not only fresh fruits and vegetables, but an assortment of crafts and unusual items. The market, that first began in 2015, closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

“The state pulled the plug on everything. I cried on every refund I had to give,” said Cindy Cloughly, the volunteer member of Friends of Koreshan that is in charge of the vendors.

Cloughly is glad to have the market back.

“There is a lot of pent up demand and it is a beautiful setting,” she said. “Most farmers markets are in parking lots, and here we are in a historic setting in Southwest Florida.”

The return of the market is a big help for the state park.
