QUINCY — A Quincy developer has bought the former Dollar General building at 330 N. 30th.
Quincy 330 LLC bought the building on May 31 for $280,000 from Anne Scherer of St. Louis, according to documents filed in the Adams County Recorder office this week. Spencer Schelp, the agent for the LLC, plans to make improvements on the site before putting it back on the market.
“It needs a parking lot resurfaced, and I’ll probably do something with floors inside, but really, the tenant will dictate what we need to do to (the property),” Schelp said.
A new Dollar General store opened Nov. 9, 2021 in the former Family Video store at 2000 Broadway, allowing for the closure of the Dollar General store at 330 N. 30th six days earlier. The lease on the building continues through the end of 2022.
