Despite what you may have seen on social media, there are no autumn, Thanksgiving and Christmas craft fairs scheduled at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds in East Amwell.
And, according to Hunterdon County Sheriff Fred W. Brown, the postings are scams targeting potential craft vendors to pay for a spot at these non-existent events.
The sheriff’s department began investigating after the Hunterdon County Parks Department became aware of the posts, Brown said.
The investigation found that an organization was advertising three separate craft sale events at the fairgrounds in November and December, Brown said.
