The amount of paranoia has helped Silicon Valley maintain its dominance over the years. Intel leader Andy Grove wrote a book on this subject. Only paranoids survive.. He preached to be vigilant so as not to get caught up in the next big change in technology.

But lately, there have been signs of unhealthy and inward-looking paranoia among big tech companies. Rex looked up Facebook, a corporate employee review Glassdoor site, found that “everything we do is microscopically inspected.”
