Alliance Chamber of Commerce honors businesses for impact on community


ALLIANCE – The Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce recognized four businesses and agencies for their commitment to the community Monday during the organization’s annual Business Alliance Awards.

Honorees included Pauli Electric for Small Business of the Year, Stark Parks for Large Business of the Year and Coastal Pet founder Jim Stout for Spirit of Enterprise, which  goes to an individual who made significant contributions to the city’s business sector. 

The chamber of commerce also presented the Alliance City Health Department with the Special Award of Appreciation for the staff’s work and commitment throughout the coronavirus pandemic. 

John Frazier, vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Mount Union, said the department has been an “invaluable partner” to the university in its response to the pandemic.
