NEEDHAM, Mass. — A 65-year-old Dorchester man has been charged in connection with stabbing another person at a Needham business on Wednesday, police said.
Angel Cartagena Resto was charged with a assault with the intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The stabbing occurred shortly at Restaurant Depot, a wholesale cash and carry foodservice supplier.
Shortly before 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to the business at 114 First Ave. for a medical-related call.
When they arrived, police found a victim suffering from stab wounds.
Police arrested Resto, who was still in the building.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and is in stable condition.
Further details on the stabbing, including a motive, were not immediately available.
